The Spiral Spook Fly was engineered by Chase Smith to replicate the action of the famous Spook lure.
To fish this fly, use a loop knot and a floating weight forward fly line, preferably with a short taper. Use supple monofilament or nylon tippet, use extremely short, sharp 1-2″ strips, and keep your fly rod tip just barely under the water’s surface.
